Hi I'm Kaitlyn

I grew up in Las Vegas. I love to debate, do musical theater and I play the Double Bass. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have participated in Debate for the past 4 years and it was the greatest time of my life. I have also participated in my school's orchestra where I played the Double Bass. And in Las Vegas, I was a part of a theater company that I had the wonderful opportunity to be involved in many plays. I am a freshman at BYU and the oldest of five children. My mother is a Transactional Attorney and my father is a Caterer.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I was born into a Mormon family, I have researched other churches and through my own personal prayer and study of the scriptures truly believe that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true church. It makes me so happy and gives me so much hope for the future. I am grateful that I am a member everyday. It's not just a church to me, it's a lifestyle of opportunity and happiness. I know that the Lord has a glorious plan for me and my future and I know that hears and answers my prayers. I know that Joseph Smith and all the prophets after him were true prophets of God just as Isaiah or Moses. I love this Gospel, and I am so excited to serve a mission. Like a scientist has faith that gravity is real, I have faith that God is real. If you are unsure of your purpose or feel lost, I would implore you to pray to your Father in Heaven and He will comfort you because He loves you. He wants you to be a part of His great work. And if you are investigating the church, I would implore you to read the Book of Mormon then do as Moroni suggests in Moroni chapter 10 verse 4, and ask God if the Book of Mormon is not true. And if you pray with a sincere heart and true desire, He will manifest to you that Book of Mormon and everything in it, and everything that goes along with it that it is in fact true.

How I live my faith

In my ward, I have always been involved with encouraging the youth to share their talents. I played piano for my youth group on Sunday when we sung hymns. I help to organize musical numbers for my church meetings.
