Hi I'm Collin Child

I grew up in Logan Utah and I am a avid photographer and skier. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I was born and raised in an LDS household. Some think that I am simply living the life I live because of my family. No in fact my testimony in this Gospel has been earned and chosen. The church is the center of my life. Besides church I love to travel and see new parts of the world. I am a huge European soccer fan and I love traveling to see my favorite teams play. I am a award winning photographer and I love skiing. Being outside brings me closer to my Heavenly Father and that is why I love it so much.

Why I am a Mormon

My testimony is something I hold near and dear to my heart. It is something that has been hard fought for. It takes time and faith to truly have a testimony of this gospel. I am so glad I have had experience in my life to be able to know that this church is true. When I am in doubt or my testimony is in wavering I have learned to ask my Heavenly Father who loves each one of us so very much, to help me understand and navigate this confusing and difficult world we live in. Having a testimony of this gospel is truly one of the greatest gifts we can obtain on this earth.

How I live my faith

Being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is a very common thing in Logan Utah. But regardless of where you live being a Mormon can be a very difficult thing. I was on a train in The Netherlands in April and there was a family of little children listening to their father tell them about how crazy mormons are and to stay well away from them. This was really eye opening and I'm glad I was raised in Mormon community it certainly has it's challenges but It makes living the gospel easier. I try to live my faith everyday. My Bishop once told me living the gospel has it's highs and lows but as long as we are striving to go in a upward trajectory we are living the way we should. I don't know where I would be with out the gospel and I am so thankful I have it in my life. It truly is a wonderful way of living your life.
