Hi I'm Drew Toolson

I grew up in San Diego, California. I am going to serve a mission the the Piura Peru Mission in June.

About Me

My name is Drew. I am 19 years old, I am a native Californian. I am currently preparing to serve a mission in Peru in June. I love to go to the beach and spend time with my friends and family. I love to sit and listen to music, or just sit and watch the world around me. I love to paint and take pictures.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I was born in to a family of great love. When I was younger I lived based off of my parents example, but now that I am older and have experience more in this life I have felt the true love of my Savior Jesus Christ. Often times I have felt very alone and unprepared for the things I face in this world, but as I focus on my faith in Christ I find I am not alone, nor will I ever be alone as I act in love and righteousness because He is with me because He loves me. I know that this gospel is true, I have felt this through my upbringing in my family, I love my family very much, I know that I was placed in my family here on Earth because it was His plan for me, to come and to learn in love from them and to share my love with those I meet in my life. I know that the things that happen in this life do not merely happen by coincidence, they happen because our Heavenly Father and our Savior Jesus Christ lives and they have a divine plan for each of us, His beloved children.

How I live my faith

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints all of my life. I love the Church, it brings me great comfort to know that I am a child of God and that I am never alone. I live my faith by acting in this same love that I feel from the gospel. In my callings and in my every day life I live to embrace the simplistic beauty of God's creations around me and enjoying the company of others. We live in a fast paced world, I live my faith by slowing down and taking the time to simply talk to someone I see sitting alone and making new friends. I love to meet new people, my friends and my family are such a strength to me and I feel true happiness when I am surrounded by them. I live my faith by being honest to others and to myself. I do not try to be anyone that I am not, I live each day to love the life that I have and to enjoy each day as it comes and making the best of what I have. I live my faith by seeing the best in people and helping them realize their potential and finding the beauty in themselves and the world around them. I live my faith by being grounded in the gospel. In all of my decisions and opportunities in life I put the gospel first and I find that I enjoy life more and everything seems to work out just as it should.
