Hi I'm Jordan

I love to spend time with my family. I love to run, hike, camp, ski, snowboard and longboard. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the youngest of seven children and i love my big family. I have always been close to all of my siblings even though I was a "bonus baby" and there is a considerable age difference between us. I was born in the Pacific Northwest and have a deep love for the rain forests of British Columbia, Canada. But my family moved to the Southwest of the United States when I was young so if you asked anyone in my family they would call me a "Desert Rat", and I would agree. I have loved the people I have meet in the desert, what it lacks in moisture it makes up for in the residents kindness. It has been a wonderful place to grow up. But then again i think that anywhere you go it is a wonderful place to be, I've traveled from Homer, Alaska to Rocky Point Mexico, you only need the right attitude and you will always find wonderful people. I have recently been attending college in the great state of Idaho but will be soon serving a mission in Argentina from Spring 2013 through Spring 2015. I am so excited! Life is Great!

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to have had the opportunity to be born in the church and had its principles and values taught to since I was a baby. But that's not to say that I haven't had doubts and questions about the church. My belief in the church and the reason i continue to follow it is not because i am forced to or feel that it is just what is expected of me. The reason I continue to follow the Gospel of Jesus Christ is because I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and that Joseph Smith really did see God the Father and His son Jesus Christ and restored the full Gospel of Jesus Christ on this earth. I know this because I have prayed to know for myself that these things are true and I have felt the Holy Ghost bear witness of the truthfulness of these things.

How I live my faith

I attend my church meetings every Sunday. I actively participate in the lessons being taught and have even spoken in church meetings in several occasions. In the past I have been called as a youth leader among my peers as well. I am also a Home Teacher, that means I go to the houses of people in our ward that we are assigned to and we talk with them and teach them spiritual lessons but we also check up on how they are doing in general, for example if a family I home taught needed help with house or yard work I would gladly help them out. Over the years some of my best friends have come from the families I have home taught and the home teachers that have come to visit my family.
