Hi I'm Sister Lelle

I grew up in Connecticut. I created TAFY LETAT (Tell a Friend You Love Every Thing About Them) and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am a full time missionary. I love to dance and choreograph. I also love to play the piano and sing (even if I'm not very good!). I love to travel and learn about other cultures and languages. I love to serve other people and make their days easier. As a Missionary I invite others to come to Christ and receive His gospel that was restored by Joseph Smith in 1830. I love studying the Book of Mormon and the truth that it contains.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was baptized at the age of eight. When my father died I didn't have a personal relationship with Christ. I became very angry with the people who would tell me "it would be okay". I fell into depression, explored other beliefs (or lack thereof), and found myself getting into trouble throughout high school. The summer going into Senior year my mom made me go to the Church Girls Camp and a woman spoke and told of her life and how she had lived "of the world" like I wanted / planned to. She got married and had kids, but something was still missing besides her father, who had died when she was about 14 also. The life she told was the life I was going to lead, but both were missing something. At that moment I felt a comfort in my heart telling me this was the point where I could change my life and truly BE happy. I felt the love that the Lord had for me in making that one moment happen. I felt how spiritual the birth place of Joseph Smith, the prophet who restored this gospel, was and how true this gospel is. I changed my life and never looked back. I want to follow Christ and serve the Lord. I am so happy that I made that change, it was a pivotal moment in my life and I know where I would be without having made that choice to love Christ, but I want His love in my life and to love others like He did and does.

How I live my faith

I am a missionary and let my friends and family know about the gospel along with people I meet on the street! I share this great message to share the happiness that I have felt in my everyday life since I started living the gospel. I love to visit the members in the church because when I share message with them I find that they teach me more than I teach them. I love how the ward they know I am here for them when ever they need me. The feeling in this church is so much about the community and service to others just as Christ taught, "love the Lord thy God, and love thy neighbor as thy self." We serve all people with love.

Why don’t Mormons have paid clergy?

Sister Lelle
The possitions in our church are filled by members of the congregation in their perspective wards. We give our time to our calling as an opportunity to serve other members in our ward and plan for ways to benefit our community. The bishop, the leader of a ward, through inspiration, calls members of the ward to respective callings. Over all the congregation is run by it's own members. Show more Show less
