Hi I'm Angie

I'm an average 19 year old girl, I want to be a corrections councilor for troubled youth, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently serving a full-time LDS mission! Huzzah! My favorite thing to do in the whole entire world is to ride horses. I also love clogging and to play Bop-it. I love to travel and spent a few weeks one summer in Busan, South Korea. I am willing to try any kind of food and usually love it! I'm the oldest of seven kids and... I'm a Mormon!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. So were both of my parents, and all four of my grandparents. Many people tell me that because of my heritage, I don't think for myself. I do. I know exactly what this church is and what it means. It brings me peace and happiness and joy and love. I know that this is because Jesus Christ is who leads this church. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I have felt so alone, lost, and hurt before, but when I read the scriptures and pray to my Heavenly Father to help me, I know everything will be all right. I love this gospel and the peace it brings to me and hope everyone will have the opportunity to feel it for themselves.

How I live my faith

My faith in Jesus Christ dictates everything about my life. It affects the way I dress, talk, think, and act. It helps me keep my standards of what I listen to and watch as high as I know He would want me to. It also gives me many opportunities to serve some of His children in my local area. A few years ago, I was asked to serve as a Special Needs Youth Councilor. Every Thursday night from 6:30-8:30 we would meet at the church house and have Special Needs Mutual. There were about fifty "youth", or individuals with special needs ages 12+, who were assigned a "buddy", members ages 16-18 who would volunteer to come every week during the school year to do various activities with their buddies. It was the best year of my life and I learned so much from these VERY special members of Heavenly Father's family! I love being able to serve the Lord by serving his children. I am now a full time missionary for Christ's church and love it with all my heart!
