Hi I'm Christine

I grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah. I witness miracles everyday. I am moving to Italy. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, my name is Christine and I grew up in Salt Lake City. I have a wonderful family and three adorable nephews that have me wrapped around their sticky, chubby little fingers. I am a student at the University of Utah studying Health Promotion and Education. My dream is to take this education and start pediatric oncology programs in undeserved and underdeveloped demographics. I work at Primary Children's Medical Center in surgery and I absolutely love my job. Everyday I witness miracles and am constantly touched by the strength and courage of my little patients. I am an outdoors type gal, love playing sports, and am never afraid to get a bit dirty. I love to travel, learn about other cultures and people, and get lost in the beauty of this Earth. I like chocolate covered orange sticks, pillows, dancing, country music and laughing. I absolutely love life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the values it has instilled in my life. As members of this faith we are encouraged to build strong families, live within our means, love our neighbors, and contribute positively to our communities. My faith has taught me to love everyone unconditionally; those that have wronged me or others and forgiveness can lift any burden. I know without a doubt that Jesus Christ is my savior and is the perfect example of unconditional love. This life can often be confusing, dark and sad but my faith in this gospel has provided me with direction, hope and joy. I still struggle with the same everyday problems that most of us endure but I am able to find peace in the quite moments, strength in the weakest hours and happiness in the simplest pleasures because of my faith in a loving and very involved Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I volunteer with a local nonprofit organization by the name of Good in the Hood. The organization's goal is to unify individuals and neighbors through service. Every act of service benefits someone in the immediate community and is performed by a member of the same community. This is an incredible organization and I have been blessed with the opportunity to reach out to local refugees and build strong relationships with them. Every human has something unique and wonderful to offer and if we open our hearts to them we can learn beautiful lessons.
