Hi I'm Nicole

I grew up in Utah and I'm going to college to become a physician's assistant. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

A little bit about me, I've grown up in Utah my whole life, in the same house even. I'm in college right now majoring in Nutrition Science and hopefully when I'm done I'll be accepted into a physician assistant program. I love playing volleyball, being outside, and just laughing with friends. I also love to cook, organize things and read good books. Right now since I'm young, things can get crazy and overwhelming; which any other college student or young adult can attest to. So some words that I live by are, "I can do hard things, in the strength of the lord I can do all things." and another one is, "Never miss a chance to smile." Life is always better when taken in stride and with a smile on our face!

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I have prayed and read the scriptures and the Spirit of God has confirmed in me that this is indeed the true gospel on the earth. If you have ever just felt that without a doubt something is true you cannot deny it. That is how I feel about this church. As I have moved away from home and now go to college you are on my own, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints brings to my life a peacefulness that no other church has brought to me, and I know that I am never truly alone. My Father in Heaven and my brother Jesus Christ are always watching out for me. I know that families can be and will be together forever in Heaven. God listens to and answers our prayers, he has done so for me so many times it cannot just be coincidences. He has helped me understand subjects in school, helped me find lost items, and has given me courage to do things that I wouldn't be able to do alone. Through answers to prayers I have been given help to make tough decisions in my life and he has comforted me when I need it most. Through reading the Book of Mormon and other scriptures I have gained knowledge and understanding about the church and many other topics. It can apply to my life today and guides me. The church is true and that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

How I live by my faith is I participate in activities put on by the church, i.e. service activities, singing in the choir, and I visit others in the ward to make sure they are doing okay. I also just got called to serve in the Montevideo West, Uruguay mission. I am really excited about that! In less subtle ways that I live my faith is I just always try and be a good example to others. This may be by living what I know, or by telling others what I know. Actions speak louder than words and I want to show people that Mormons are good, normal people.
