Hi I'm Annika

I love mountains and nature. I love to help people. I want to be a nurse. I love to be happy. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a dancer at heart, I love hiking and being outdoors, and my passions include whales and yoga. I'm a BYU student hoping to major in a health related field. I will be serving a Mission in the Marshall Islands July 2013 - January 2015. I love to laugh, giggle, and talk, especially when getting to know people. I love the Lord Jesus Christ and his gospel. I am blessed to be a Mormon and to have the gospel in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and I strive to be an example of the Savior in all that I do. I was raised in a normal family filled with imperfections. Half of my family are active members and half of them are in-active, but we are all definitely human. I love all of them so much and am grateful for the love and support we give to each other despite are difference of opinions. I chose to follow Christ because I have felt his influence in my life when I have been in the darkest of places. His love feeds my soul and encourages me to move forward and never let up. I am a Mormon because I choose to be. I was never coerced into church but I found my way through faith and personal revelation from the Holy Ghost. I cannot deny my testimony of Jesus Christ and the LDS faith because I, for myself, have received a witness that I cannot deny. Through prayer and the guidance of loving people around me I have been given a sure and steadfast testimony. I love everyone and my greatest joy in life is to make others laugh and to help them realize the joy and happiness the world and God has to offer us.

How I live my faith

I am a student at BYU and love taking part in the college life. From classes, to church, to dancing around in the living room with my girlfriends I believe life is beautiful and fun, especially when living the gospel standards. I am currently serving a mission in the Marshall Islands. As I have prepared to live a worthy and righteous life I have discovered I was also preparing to be worthy and willing to serve a mission and spread the word of God. I live my faith by being bold yet gracious. I am not afraid to stand up for what I believe but I'm not one to get into someone's face. I believe that by being humble and strong in the gospel, my example can be a testament of the Savior's love. By placing myself in situations where I am always seeking truth, love, and kindness, I am able to live my faith and share it with others as well.
