Hi I'm Jason

I am the oldest son of four siblings, I have grown up in the church, My name is Jason Haynes, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

There are six in my family, Paul and Cathy, my parents, Amy, Nicholas and Claire who are my siblings and I am the oldest of the four siblings. I am interested in media, mainly movies and music, i mainly enjoy media editing, as well as playing and following, sports. I am interested in many sports especially cricket , basketball and touch footy. I really enjoy following the game of rugby league and my favorite team is the Brisbane Broncos, located here in Brisbane where i live. I also love hanging out with mates doing all sorts of fun stuff, but they are mainly church mates even while i was in school I was never into those parties and things that school mates go to even if i still wasn't doing anything silly. Over the past year, through my full time job i have gained interest in the panel beating and painting trades, as well as coming a proper car detailer which is my current position at the local repair shop. As you may or may not know the life of a tradesmen is not really the mormon life but it is good to get to know alot about them and also gain many skills including life skills that will definately come of some sort of use in future times. After preparing to serve a mission for our church I have recently just received my papers back and have been called to serve in the Johannesburg, South Africa Mission. I have always desired to serve a mission and through many church programs like Youth Conference, EFY and Mini Missions the desire to serve has definately grown.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon Not just because of the great knowledge that all of the things that are taught in it are true but the fact that we can all choose, whether live the laws of the gospel or not, but through living them we can be the safest that we can possibly be in this life, and although it may not seem "fun" to some people, it is up to you whether you follow it or not but i know that it is the way i know i should live and have been truly blessed by choosing to live to the fulness of this gospel. My Name is Jason Haynes I am oldest of four, born in July 1994, about to go out to embark on a Full Time Mission For the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I have recently graduated four years of seminary, and continue to attend church every week. I recieved my patriarchal blessing when I was 16 which is to help me, in some ways guide me through my teenage life, following blessing which have been promised on there as well as getting through and being comforted throughout the rest of our lives if we live the laws of the gospel. Over the past year I have recieved the Melchizedek Preisthood as well as being a ward missionary. All these things have definatrly helped me to prepare to go on a mission which of all my goals has definately been the big, long term goal, up until now as I prepare to actually go out and serve. As I work full time I have got into the habit of personal scripture study at the start of my day, reciting scriptures, being reminded of my covenants, my patriarchal blessing which I have also received and studying the scriptures. I also pray morning and night and keep a journal which I have mainly been writing what I have learn from my studies. This definately sets me up for the day, and in a place where it can be quite easy to have bad thoughts, the scriptures have definately helped me to stay on track. One thing I have also started is writing in my Journal it has also definately helped me to remember things of great importance when I need it most, and is not a girly thing at all, it should be brought into daily routines. As I am 18 years of age I am also a part of the YSA, which has been a great oppurtunity to attend institute as well as the many great activities and things that they have planned for the YSA. As I awit to leave on my mission on the 27th of June, 2013 and am continuing these things as well as alot more study, and knowledge to help me to be a better teacher as I prepare to do it for the next two years and I am grateful for that. I know that this gospel that I have been brought up in is true and I want to bring as many as possible into the gospel.
