Hi I'm Jamie

I'm a Montana Girl, amateur everything-er, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have 4 brothers, 1 brother-in-law, 1 sister and 1 sister-in-law, oh and 1 beautiful baby niece :). I fall second in that whole mess. I am going to college and loving it. I like art and doing random crafty projects. Nothing soothes my nerves like creating something beautiful. I love learning about our magnificent bodies and how they work. If they aren't proof of a God, I don't know what is! I love spending time with my big, "crazy" family! :D It's always a party! I grew up in the great state of Montana, so I know how to appreciate beauty around me. Montana is one of my most favorite places in the world. If you have not been, I highly recommend it. Alabama will also always have a special place in my heart.♥ I love psych it's one of my favorite tv shows. I like funny (especially improv and most of the show is the actors making it up on the spot) and I like detective shows so it's the best of both worlds. :) I can get down to some country, rap, hip hop, rock 'n roll, 80's music, and so much more!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in this church. From a very young age I was taught (and still learning) this gospel. When I was a teenager I hit this wall where I could no longer rely on those around me to know if this gospel was true. And for me I supposed it was true. So why ask my Heavenly Father if it was? I started slipping down a steep slope to eventually I got to where I was sad and depressed and everything was dark. I was lost. I was no longer obeying the commandments and I wanted to change. I started the repentance process. And it is a process and it takes time, but as I started I felt hope for the first time for what seemed like a long time. I felt so loved by my Heavenly Father and my Savior Jesus Christ. And now I am so happy! For I know that my Savior lives. That He atoned for my sins so that I could live with my loving Heavenly Father again. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God for I have felt His presence in the pages. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has the fullness of the gospel and the authority to perform the ordinances (or acts) that bring salvation. I know that my Father in Heaven and Savior love me more than I can comprehend. I love my Heavenly Father and the Savior, Jesus Christ. I want to live my life in a way that I will be able to return to live with them again and know complete joy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith every day, not only on Sundays. I do this because church or religion shouldn't be a weekend thing, it should be a lifestyle. Look at the way Christ lived while he was here on this Earth. He didn't go to church for an hour and then lived the rest of the week how He wanted to. He spent His life doing good and obeying God's commandments. I want to be like my Savior so I live my faith everyday by reading the Bible and Book of Mormon, praying, helping others, keeping the commandments and doing any other thing that I can to build the kingdom of God. And for me it must needs be or else Satan will have a weak spot to get through my defenses, if they are not built up everyday.
