Hi I'm Ryan

I grew up in a small town in Nevada. I was on the tennis and swim team in high school. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small town. I'm an Eagle Scout. I was on the swim and tennis team in high school. I am a student of BYU - Idaho. I am the middle child of five children. I like to help others out. It gives me a feeling of accomplishment and I'm glad to know that someone is better off because of something I have done.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been raised in the Church and I have seen how this gospel has helped many people find peace and meaning in their lives. Throughout my life I have had a peace that many others don't seem to understand. They don't see how I can be happy even if everything around me seems to be falling apart. I don't always know why I would be happy, but I do know that it is because of the companionship of the Holy Ghost that I am promised to have if I keep God's commandments. No one in this church is perfect, but the gospel is perfect. I have never seen any flaw in its teachings. I have had questions in my life, but every time I ask there is an answer. There has always been answers to my questions. I have been told, "On the path to salvation let questions arise, but never doubts." If you don't understand something, research it. There will always be an answer to your questions. God loves us because we are his children. He loves us just like a father would love his family. He wants us to be happy. This is His desire for us. Because of His love for us he has given us this gospel. This knowledge of who we are, where we come from, why we're here, where we're going, and what we are to be. God loves us and he won't leave us in the dark. He will always be there to talk to us. We can talk to him through prayer. He talks to us through our feelings, through scripture, and through revelation given to the prophets. Thomas S. Monson is God's prophet on the Earth today. I know that what he speaks is truth. I know that the teachings of Bible and the Book of Mormon are true. God has a plan for us. He wants us to return to Him. He wants us to return to Him more than we can know. He cares about us all as individuals. I know that Jesus Christ atoned for our sins. Through the atonement we are forgiven of our sins. The atonement covers more than just sin, but also any sorrow or pain that we may feel. Because of Christ's infinite atonement we can be happy and return to live with our Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I participate in service projects when the opportunities arise. When I get asked to give talks I do my best to prepare a talk that will let the Holy Ghost be present when I give it. I normally get nervous when I give a talk, but I know that if I prepare the Holy Ghost will help me and He calms my fears. I do my home teaching, so each month my companion and I visit some people and give a lesson and see if they need help with anything. If they need help we gladly help them. I do my best to do what is asked of me because if I go forward with faith I know the Lord will help me.
