Hi I'm Scott

I grew up in Montana, I'm a Black-Belt, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

Hi, I'm Scott. I'm 19, and I'm about to serve a mission in Madrid, Spain. I have four people in my family, so it's pretty calm at home. I have one cat, named Merlin, who I'm convinced is on this earth to meow my ears off. But he's really awesome, even if he's annoying. I love camping, reading good books, like the Alchemist or The Name of the Wind, playing sports with my friends, board games, and just hanging out. My favorite sport is football, and my favorite team is the Philadelphia Eagles. I graduated high school and I went to a year of college before preparing to go on a mission. I'm majoring in Finance and Economics, and I'm thinking about going into banking. But who knows? I still have plenty of time to decide, and I'm not really sure where I want my life to go after I get home.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I love it, and the way that my religion makes me feel happy and safe. I know so many people who have problems in their life because of drugs or alcohol, or promiscuity, and I'm grateful that I can avoid those through the teachings of my church and the help of the Savior. I feel happy because I know that families are forever, and that God and Jesus Christ love us no matter what we do, and that there is a purpose to our time on this Earth. I know that there is a God, and that He loves us and has given His son as a sacrifice to provide us a way to live with Him after we die, depending on how we live our lives. I know that this church is true, and was restored by the prophet Joseph Smith, and that we are lead by a prophet today named Thomas S. Monson. I know that the Book of Mormon is true, and that it can help strengthen testimonies of Jesus Christ. I love being a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I live my faith through example. I'm generally a shy person around people that I don't know, so it's easier for me to let my actions do the talking. I'm an Eagle Scout, I regularly attend my church meetings, actively fulfill a calling, and attend activities. I also try to live my life like the Savior did, and pattern my attitude and actions after His life and ministry while on Earth.
