Hi I'm Rachel

I'm a Californian! I'm a twin! I love food! I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I've always grown up in California. I love the sun and the outdoors so with that in mind, I would rather be outside then inside. Sports are my passion! To be honest, I would rather be playing a sport then watching it. I have done swimming all my life and I absolutely love running. I have competed in many swimming championships and triathlons. I have also done a couple of half marathons. I have received my Associates in Science in Biology from West Valley College and am looking to continue my education. I have a twin sister who is my best friend; whenever we're together it's always a party! I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I love laughing and serving others makes me feel awesome! I also love to clean and I have been skydiving!

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in the church all my life so I have never really experienced not being part of this church but I have had experiences that have helped mold and shape me into the person I am today. I have always felt that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true but the biggest part of my conversion that sticks out to me the most is probably prayer. I have always been told by my parents that I have been a good finder when something is lost; I have attributed that to prayer. As I pray, I know that someone is there listening to me and I know that my prayers are answered. There is no greater feeling for me then to know that I am not alone and that at least one person truly loves, cares, and understands me. Heavenly Father knows me better then anyone, including myself. He knows what I need and who I need to help me through my life. I feel like I am constantly praying to Him because I know he is listening and will guide me in everything I do.

How I live my faith

I try to serve someone at least once a day. Praying for guidance to be led to someone who needs my help each day has helped me to be an instrument in the Lord's hands to focus on others and to better help the people around me. Serving someone who needs my help is the best feeling in the world! Also, trying to be a good example to those around me has helped me be reminded of who I am and how I live my faith. I currently am in my ward's Relief Society Presidency - watching over the women of the ward, guiding and teaching them, and getting to know every sister. This calling has made me realize the true influence that women have in the Church and how each of us can help build the kingdom of God in everything we do.
