Hi I'm Nikolai Fowers

I was raised in the Great North West, Washington. I'm the jack of all trades. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Poulsbo, Washington. My family and I built our dream home together and lived in it for several years. As many people know, the economy in America wasn't kind to the building industry and my Father looked for work elsewhere, leading us to Arizona. I stayed behind to finish schooling and lived with another family. I graduated as a junior at 17 and followed my family to Arizona. I stuck around for a little while when one day the Prophet announced that 18 year olds could go on Missions...this was the day after I had turned 18. I got the message and started getting ready. I am now serving in the England Leeds Mission and I'm loving it. I love learning, and it seems I'm humbled every time I meet someone new. I love being creative and different in all that I do. This had lead me to become the "jack of all trades". I do my best to excel at everything.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe that God speaks to each of us in different ways and at different times. He seems to have spoken to me at a young age with profound reasoning. When times of trouble and doubt would try to sneak in, he has always helped me to "doubt my doubts". It is befuddling and at times frustrating when I see someone reject the Gospel because, to me, it all makes perfect sense. I love the ways that science and religion mix. I love the ways that the Bible and Book of Mormon cooperate. I love seeing reason and the Spirit working in people to enlighten and inspire. I love being a Latter-Day Saint.

How I live my faith

I have often been asked why I "let this religion tie me down". Quite simply, it doesn't! I love to live this way. I feel comfortable, clean, alive and ready for life. I suppose it's something that we have to experience to understand what we do and why we do it.

What are Mormon Temples used for?

Nikolai Fowers
Temples are used to perform sacred ordinances (a physical action that symbolizes a spiritual promise) and make special covenants (promises with our Heavenly Father). It is because of these things that we are able to live with our families after this life. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Nikolai Fowers
We believe the Bible to be the word of God, as far as it has been translated correctly. Show more Show less
