Hi I'm Linda

I am a wife, mother, grandmother- a family person. I'm a Special Ed school teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a mother to 7 children, and a grandmother to 18 beautiful children. My husband and I have been married for 40 years and life just keeps getting better. After raising my family, I spent time going back to school to get my teacher certificate. I am a Special Education teacher and I work with children who have behavior challenges in a mental health facility. My husband and I will retire soon and leave for a mission to Vancouver, Canada. We are so excited to go share our faith with others! What a great way to spend retirement years in service, being active and doing important work for others. It's much better than becoming couch potatoes!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a Mormon. I used to worry as a child as I wondered if my parents could be mistaken about our church being God's church here on earth. But I spent some years studying and praying and finally received a witness from the Holy Ghost like fire in my soul knowing that Christ died for us, He lives now and that this is His established church on the earth. He has given us a plan of happiness with the instructions of how to get back to his and our Father in Heaven. Because of Christ's sacrifice for our sins, we have the opportunity to lift ourselves toward that goal.

How I live my faith

At church I teach the six year old children. They are amazing! They are so quick to understand spiritual things and I learn from them every time I teach. After services, I like to participate practicing with our choir. I used to lead the choir, and now I get to sing or play the piano. Music is a way for my spirit to touch heaven. My most important religious activity is keeping my family close and tending to their needs. Yes, I feel that is a religious activity because we build each other and work to keep on the path to live and love forever even after this life as we return together to our Heavenly Father.
