Hi I'm Adam

I'm studying Space Engineering at York University in Toronto, Canada. I just got married in November. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently studying Space Engineering at York University in Toronto, Canada. It can be very challenging and extremely busy but I love every second of it and can't imagine myself doing anything else. In November of 2012 I got married to a girl I had known for my whole life and we've been really happy ever since. In my spare time I like to play video games, read Astronomy magazines and ride my bike through the woods.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were both members of the church when I was born so I grew up in the church. As I got older I started to wonder if the church was true. I thought about what I had been taught as a kid more and more and ended up reading the Book of Mormon in an effort to find out if the church really was the true church of Jesus Christ. As a kid, the 'spiritual' parts of the Book of Mormon seemed very dry to me but I loved to read about the battles in the Book of Mormon, particularily those which were part of the huge war in Alma. Finally, I prayed to know if the Book of Mormon was true. When I prayed, I got a very excited feeling, like all I wanted to do was run around the block. Since then I've had many experiences where I felt like my beliefs would carry me through any problems I could ever have. I've also had times where I knew that God could help me to accomplish anything I secretly hoped to do or become. On the other hand, there have been times in my life where I wasn't as close to God and wasn't so sure that He loved me or cared about me. I've found that the best way to stay on top is to always read the scriptures, to pray, to attend church and to serve Him in any way that I can.

How I live my faith

Church participation usually keeps me pretty busy both during the week and at church. My church responsibility is to help leaders of the local congregation stay organized by helping them to organize interviews and other things they need to do in order to minister to both members of the church and people from outside of the church. I've also become the unoffical technology expert so it's not unusual to see me running around with computers, microphones, projectors and power cords. I try very hard to help in any way that I can.
