Hi I'm Calvin

I grew up in Idaho. I like to play soccer and basketball. Someday I hope to be a dentist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 19 years old and graduated from high school in May 2013. I enjoy playing soccer and basketball. This past year, our soccer team took fourth place at the Idaho State Tournament. My goals after high school are to attend college and then become a dentist and hopefully live close to family or the Oregon coast. I love going to the Oregon coast, as it is my favorite vacation spot. I have a wonderful mom and dad and 3 sisters and 2 brothers, who I all love very much.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the gospel of Jesus Christ has made me happier than anything else in the world. Through the gospel and Atonement of Jesus Christ, our families can be together forever; I know that it is true. I know that Jesus Christ lives and that Heavenly Father loves us more than we can ever imagine. He does hear and answer prayers, as He has done for me many times. Being a Mormon has blessed me more than I could ever imagine and it will do the same for anybody if they will only let it. I know that this church is true with all of my heart.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as a full-time missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and am grateful for the opportunity to share my testimony of the Gospel, my most valuable possession, with others. I am serving our Lord Jesus Christ in the Philippines Quezon City Mission, and will return home to Idaho in June 2015.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

No, young men are highly encouraged to serve and young women can if they want to, but nobody serves unless they choose to do so. It is usually regarded as one of the best life experiences that a person can have. Show more Show less
