Hi I'm David Coombs

I grew up in Seattle. I enjoy snowboarding and DJing. I go to school at BYU-Idaho. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 22 years old and just started my mission in February of 2013. I am serving in the Wisconsin Milwaukee mission and love it here! I did two years of college in Idaho and plan on finishing when I return. Before my mission, I loved to snowboard and DJ as hobbies. At school, I am a Business Finance major and plan to go into Investing as a career.

Why I am a Mormon

Originally my mom was a member so I was 'born in the church'. However, in my high school years, I fell away and didn't attend church or anything. Not until about a year or so after graduating, I realized I wasn't happy and didn't enjoy life as much as I should. So I started to come back to church and got accepted into college and love every minute of it. The Gospel as done nothing but bless me in my life. I know that this is the true Church, I know that the Book of Mormon was written by old prophets and was restored through the modern-day prophet, Joseph Smith, and I know that Jesus is the Christ and this is His Church.

How I live my faith

Before my mission, I was called as a 'ward missionary'. I would go to an apartment at college in our church and would teach them the missionary lessons, it was really fun to meet new people and help build the church! I attend church every week and love going. Besides it being spiritually uplifting, it was a nice day to rest from the other days of the week. I also attended a few religion classes at my college (it's an LDS school), and those are always spiritually uplifting.
