Hi I'm Leah Withers

I grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah. I am the youngest of 4 children and now I have 4 children of my own, all girls.

About Me

I am a married mother of 4 beautiful girls. Being a mother is one of the greatest blessings I have. Although I wouldn't change being a mother, there are times when it gets to be a bit of a challenge. My second oldest daughter was diagnosed at age 6 with type 1 diabetes. At the time of her diagnosis I was pregnant with our fourth child. A month after my youngest was born, she was hospitalized with a heart condition called SVT. About a year after that, my husband was diagnosed with late onset type 1 diabetes also. It is a bit of a challenge at times in our house but none the less rewarding.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, because my heart swells everytime that I think about our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I have been blessed with a wonderful husband and 4 beautiful daughters. Some might ask how I survive each day with such big medical issues, but if I didn't have the church, my testimony and faith, I don't know that I would survive. Heavenly Father trusted me with these trials, and it is my opportunity to show Him that I accept these challenges to help me learn and grow and become a better person.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being kind to everyone that I meet. Until recently, I taught music to the young children. I love music so it was an easy task to pass along that love to the kids. We attend church each week as a family and enjoy sitting together and listening to the talks and music.
