Hi I'm Jay

I grew up on a farm in Arizona. I have two younger brothers and a newborn sister. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Jay. Because I grew up on a farm I have learned to work from an early age, and for this I will be forever grateful. Up until this year (2013) I was enrolled in college for computer sciences. When I was 15 years old, I fell about 15 feet and landed in a sitting position. The L4 vertebra of my back was crushed, and along with all my nerves for lower body control. Early diagnosis was not good, I was told that If I was able to walk again, I would not be able to run, lift heavy things, or rely on my strength ever again. Just a little over a month after I broke my back, I was taking my first unassisted steps, and a few months after that I completed a Triathlon. I love the Lord, my God, and I know that he lives.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that Christ lives. I know it, and I can see it in the faces of everyone around me at church and I can feel the pure love of God there. I know that the President Monson is a true prophet and receives guidance for the Church in these, the latter days.

How I live my faith

For the past while now I have been trying to live as a missionary would (i.e. hour long scripture study, rising early, sharing my beliefs with co-workers). I also try to remember all the things that the Lord has done for me over the short course of my life. When I do this and remember to be thankful to him, life and whatever burden I have upon my shoulders suddenly gets lighter.
