Hi I'm Elizabeth

I'm a student, an athlete and a people person. I love the outdoors, books, adventures and my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a typical college student who loves reading good books, being outside in nature, painting, spending time with my growing family (including my adorable dog, Gus), getting my hands messy, playing and watching sports of all kinds (especially lacrosse), music that speaks to the soul, learning new things and how food can bring people together so easily. Though I may seem pretty average, I know that I am anything but average in the eyes of my Heavenly Father. He sees the great potential I have to make this world and myself better.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior. My loving friend. My brother. My rock. My way to return to live with God. I know that the only way to truly change is through Christ's loving, infinite Atonement. I know that this gospel is a gospel of hope, and of change, and of happiness, and of becoming. Becoming clean. Becoming like Christ. Becoming who God knows we can be. I am a Mormon because I know that by following Jesus Christ, I am becoming more like Him. I know that His Atonement is for each and every one of God's children, because He loves us perfectly, completely and beyond what we can comprehend. Simply, I am a Mormon because I love God, and I know that He loves me.

How I live my faith

I strive to be an example of Christ-like love. I believe that faith isn't complete until it moves you to act, and so I live my faith by serving others, being a dependable friend, and standing up for those who cannot stand up for themselves. I plan on dedicating the next year and a half of my life to serving the Lord as a full time missionary to bring the light and truth of the gospel to His children in Tacoma, Washington or wherever I may be.

What do Mormons believe about family?

In short, we believe that family is the central unit of well, everything! We are spirit sons and daughters of God, and thus all of mankind is one spiritual family. We believe that families can be together forever and that these ties are not severed after this life. The family is the focus of God's plan for His children and is what will bring us the greatest happiness in this life. Through family relationships we learn to love as God loves us and become more like Him. What believe about the family can be found in "The Family: A Proclamation to the World", a detailed outline of family, marriage and God's love for each of His children.
