Hi I'm Jared

I'm a Californian. I'm a car and tech nut. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I absolutely love anything to do with computers, technological/medical advancements, video games, and of course, CARS. Love working on cars, talking about cars, nearly anything to do with those 4-wheeled boxes of speed. Currently serving as a missionary for the Church and want to help others gain that knowledge that I have. I am also hoping to pursue a career in politics and/or law. I believe that I can help the most people by going forward with this type of work.

Why I am a Mormon

How can I know something is true and not want to share it? I believe everyone should have that chance to find out for themselves that Joseph Smith restored the gospel so that we may have the fullness of the Lord's teachings in these Latter-Days. I believe that living the words of this Gospel can help us come closer to Christ and closer to our own families in our Earthly Lives. I am Jared, I'm a nerd, I'm a greese monkey, and I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I try to do at least 2 acts of service per week, whether it be serving at the local food storage shops or non-profit organizations. Anything I can do to help someone, I will do it gladly. I am here for those that need it.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

It is not required, only voluntary. We pay our own way to spend two years of our lives sharing the gospel. Show more Show less

Do Mormons practice polygamy?

In this dispensation, the Lord commanded some of the early Saints to practice plural marriage. The Prophet Joseph Smith and those closest to him, including Brigham Young and Heber C. Kimball, were challenged by this command, but they obeyed it. Church leaders regulated the practice. Those entering into it had to be authorized to do so, and the marriages had to be performed through the sealing power of the priesthood. In 1890, President Wilford Woodruff received a revelation that the leaders of the Church should cease teaching the practice of plural marriage (Official Declaration 1). The Lord’s law of marriage is monogamy unless he commands otherwise to help establish the House of Israel (see Encyclopedia of Mormonism Vol. 3, pp. 1091-1095). Show more Show less
