Hi I'm Liesl

I am from St. George Utah. I love the outdoors and the sun, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived in Utah most of my life. My Family and I are very active, and I have participated in Sprint distance Triathlons since I was 9. I love horses, and currently have 2, a Quarter Horse and a Paint. I have been able travel some, including a Humanitarian trip at 13 to Peru helping rebuild houses after a earthquake, and a Study abroad to the Holy Land for 3 amazing months. I have great parents, and was home-schooled growing up until I started at a community collage at age 14, graduating with my Associates Degree Cum Laude at age 16. I am currently a college student in Idaho, Majoring in Web Design with a Minor in Music playing the Piano and limited Harp.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to be born and raised as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I was taught by my parents how to live the gospel and follow Christ Teachings. Although I never doubted, I have had many experiences of my own to know that this is the True Church. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer. I know that He loves and cares for each one of us. He knows who we are, and if we are willing to follow Him, and keep His commandments, He has made it possible for us to return to live with Him someday. I know that Joseph Smith was a True Prophet, that did ask God which church to join that early spring morning, and His prayer was answered. Because of that vision, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has been restored upon the earth. It is the same church that Christ set up in the Holy Land while He was here on earth. I have read the Book of Mormon many times, and I know that the principles and doctrines that are taught in that great book are true. There is no way that Joseph Smith could have written that, and had the teachings match so perfectly to the Bible. I know that we are lead by a Prophet today. He is directed by the Savor, and receives revelation and guidance for our day. I know that this is the True Church of God, and if we follow the teachings and principles, that we can return to our Loving Father in Heaven someday.

How I live my faith

There are many ways that I live my faith. Being a teenager, I have had limited formal service in the church. I have been the Primary Pianist for the children under 12. I love to play and hear the Primary songs as they teach our doctrine in simple truths that even a child can understand. My family is also very involved in scouting, and I have spent many years helping my parents prepare for various scouting activities for scouts not only in our neighborhood, but in the district or city of St. George. We often joke that if girls could earn the Eagle, I would have earned it many times. Although formal callings are great, I live my faith everyday as I maintain high standards, and strive to be an example in all I do. Many times people share what they believe without saying anything. I strive to share a message of happiness, love, and hope in Jesus Christ through the way I live my life.
