Hi I'm Emily

I'm an artist, a wife, a mother of three. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

As long as I can remember I've loved to create artwork. If I can make something with my hands, I am most happy. I share my talent with my children as we draw or paint together. Beautiful music inspires me. I listen to music while cleaning house, creating artwork or writing stories. Sometimes I'll dance with my children - just for fun. I've been married to the love of my life since 2002. We married in the San Diego Temple. Together we've had three children. I grew up in San Diego but now live in Wyoming. I've grown to love the wide open spaces and friendly small towns. One thing I've noticed since moving almost a dozen times (since getting married) is that no matter where we live, the Chruch of Jesus Christ is always the same. The people change but the doctrine doesn't.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Chruch of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. When I was young I believed because my parents did. When I was about 16 while at young womens camp my leaders challenged us to do what they called the "Joseph Smith Challenge". We were to find a quiet spot and pray about the church. So I did that. I woke up early the next morning and hiked out on one trail until I came to a little water fall. I climbed up on a boulder overlooking the waterfall and sat there for a while. I love nature and could feel the spirit. I prayed out loud and asked if the Chruch was true. Before I finished asking I heard YES in my mind. It wasn't loud. It sounded just like the voice I hear in my head when I'm thinking. But it was powerful. I realized that I'd probably always known the chruch was true but until then I hadn't fully realized it. I know that we have a father in Heaven who loves us so much he sent his son Jesus Christ to atone for our sins. I know that Joseph Smith is a true prophet of God and that he restored the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the Earth. If we repent of our sins and endure to the end we can have Eternal Life, which gift is the greatest of all the gifts. In the name of Jesus Chirst, Amen.

How I live my faith

I've been called to be the Bear Den leader in our cub scout pack. It has been such a fun adventure to teach these boys. I've also taught in the nursery at church, the three
