Hi I'm Brooke

I'm a full time nanny & part time college student. I love laughing, playing soccer, volleyball, & rugby. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love the color yellow! I like making people laugh and sometimes that means I get to laugh at myself for the silly things I do. I am heavily involved in student government at my college and I love planning events and serving the student body. My older brothers helped raise me so I'm fairly athletic and love playing all sports! Especially volleyball, soccer, basketball and rugby. I have taught myself how to play the piano, ukulele, and recorder(if that counts). While growing up my parents got a divorce just before my eighth birthday. My oldest brother passed away when I was in high school from cancer. Also, I've been engaged once before but it didn't workout for us. I love being outdoors and going to visit the closest state park when I can. I love long boarding when I get the chance. I consider myself a pretty amateur comedian, potter, and artist so I don't do much of either but I thoroughly enjoy attempting! Also, I love sunsets.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a Mormon my whole life but my conversion story starts and ends in Jesus Christ. I know that he is there for me ALWAYS. I know that he knows all and loves me ALWAYS. It was not easy losing my oldest brother as a victim to cancer but I KNOW that through trying my best to fix my mistakes, live a righteous life and come closer to God- he will help me to return to Him one day. I love making my Father in Heaven proud!! I have a firm belief that the Book of Mormon is actually the word of God and that it was translated by Joseph Smith, our first latter day prophet. I know that the gospel is true and that Christ lives, and because of that I choose to live for him!

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday and go to planned church activities throughout the week but that's not the only faith I exercise. I pray every morning and every night, I read the scriptures and return to them as frequently as I can. I like to visit the girls the Lord has asked me to watch over and visit. I am currently serving in the music department of my ward where we get together to sing more about Christ and his wonderful gospel. I dress modestly and obey the law of chastity to show my gratitude for the body I've been given. I try to surround myself with uplifting people, thoughts and music. Although I know I'm not perfect, each day I try to just be a little better than the day before.
