Hi I'm Jennifer Allred

I love dancing, laughing, and people. I'm a typical young American adult and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

For the past 9 months I've had the time of my life while attending Brigham Young University. I'm hoping to get into the communications program with an emphasis in Public Relations. I love interacting with people and making new friends. However for the next 18 months I will be taking a break from my studies to embark on one of life's greatest adventures yet; I have been called to serve a mission in Arizona for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Jesus Christ, as found in the scriptures, has always brought great peace to my soul and feelings from the Holy Ghost, the third member of the Godhead, assure me that it is true. Through the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, more commonly referred to as the Mormon Church, this gospel has been restored to the Earth and I know it to be the one true church. In it I have found the answers to life's soul searching questions such as: "Who am I?" "Where am I going?" and "Why am I here?" As a member of this church, I have learned that I am daughter of God, here on Earth to be tested so that I can one day return to live in His presence with my family for eternity.

How I live my faith

While away at college for the past year I've had the opportunity to serve in a student ward as the indexing co-chair. Indexing is transcribing names from old records such as US census records and ship passenger lists enable people to do family history work and find their ancestors. My increased involvement in indexing has greatly added to my testimony of the importance of doing genealogy work. I would not be where I am today without those who came before me.
