Hi I'm Devan Sheffield

I grew up in Pleasant Grove Utah. I have had four open heart surgeries. I love to clog. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the second oldest out of three children. My parents both work for the LDS Church. My dad designs family history software and my mom teaches social work at BYU. I was born with congenital heart defects and as a result have had four open heart surgeries and one closed heart surgery. I clogged for eleven years of my life and have won five national titles. I love to go four-wheeling with my family. I am serving a mission for the LDS Church in Washington D.C speaking spanish. I plan to attend BYU when I return from my mission. I hope to someday become a Pediatric Cardiologist. In my free time I like to read, juggle, and spend time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know this is the true church. My parents raised me up in the gospel and taught me its truths. The Holy Ghost has testified to me of the truthfulness of the gospel. I know that Joseph Smith restored the gospel and that we truly have prophets and apostles on the earth today. I have seen the power of the priesthood in my life and I have learned that God is watching out for us. He does have a plan for us even though we may not know what it is and he is always their for us. I have read the Book of Mormon several times and each time I read it the Spirit testifies to me that it is the word of God.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by putting my trust in the lord. I seek to always follow the promptings of the spirit. I attend my church meetings every Sunday and always try my best to be a worthy priesthood holder. I study and ponder the scriptures daily. I try to find ways to serve others every day.
