Hi I'm Ken

I grew up in Utah. I want to become an IT Systems Architect. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Kendrick and I'm preparing to serve a full-time LDS mission in San Fernando, California. I love to read and share my thoughts on what I've recently read. I'd love to tell you all that I know about my Church!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it was how I was raised. I spent a lot of time in my teenage years doubting what I'd been taught. But the more time I've spent as an "adult" the more I realize that I love what my church teaches. I know without a doubt in my mind, that our church is the true Church. I love my Heavenly Father and I know that our Prophet is a leader called of God. I'll leave that with you, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith the best that I can, even if I do slack off occasionally. I enjoy doing my home teaching and I love to teach others about my faith. I'm also trying my best to be ready to serve my church for two years as a Missionary.

Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?

Ken
We believe that baptism is necessary in order to reach the kingdom of God. We perform baptisms for the dead for those who passed away before having the opportunity to hear or accept the gospel. Because of this, baptisms can be done by a living person on behalf of a deceased person. We do not disturb the remains of those passed nor do we add them to the membership records of the church.
