Hi I'm Julia

I grew up in Cedar Hills, Utah. I am a dancer. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a dancer. I absolutely love to dance. I grew up Ballroom dancing when i was younger and then started dancing jazz, ballet, hip hop, contemporary, and modern. I have danced on two collegiate dance companies, and I am currently serving as the dance captain at my college university. We dance and perform at all the sporting events, although it keeps me busy it is so fun! I also love to sing, but I get a little shy to sing in front of people. I love the outdoors! Especially when it's warm. I am a summer girl for sure. I love to ride bikes, that is one of my stress relievers. I love to be outside in the summer! I love to be out on the lake and go wake boarding! Three things that always bring a smile to my face are flowers, fudge (yes, chocolate fudge) and kittens. All my friends think I'm weird for liking cats, but let's be honest what kitten isn't adorable?? I am a people person, I have a very bubbly personality! I am currently studying to be a Marriage and Family Therapist, and hope to get my Masters, so I can practice therapy. I love the gospel, and serving the lord. I am so excited to be a full time missionary in a couple months!!!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the LDS Religion. I have always been able to have this blessing in my life. When I was 3 I was diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia, it is a rare blood disease and at a severe rate is deadly. I pretty much lived at Primary Children's Hospital as a child. The doctors and my parents didn't think I would make it. I was scheduled to get a Bone Marrow Transplant and a few months before I got a blessing from an Apostle of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, Neal A. Maxwell. He said in the blessing I was here for a special purpose, and that I would live a long healthy life. At that time, that seemed impossible, but it was a miracle a few months later my counts had gone up, I didn't need the bone marrow transplant anymore. Ever since this day, though I was very young I remember feeling that I am here for a special purpose. I know Heavenly Father knows me, and saved me to come at this time to bring his children unto him. I have had so many experiences that have shown me Heavenly Father is watching over me, and loves me. He needs me here on earth, and has saved my life. I would not be here without my Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I try to live my life everyday, so that those who know me, want to know Christ. You can always tell when someone has a "light" about them, and you are instantly drawn towards them. I strive everyday to have that light. I try to be the best I can be at my calling! In my singles ward I am the Book of Mormon Specialist. I am asked to get people excited about reading the Book of Mormon, and really help them to find their testimony of this special book. I am soon going to be a full time missionary, and I cannot wait to help others find the truth that I have found!

Why is it important for us to take care of our bodies? Why are our bodies called temples of God in the Bible?

God gave us our body as a gift. Our body is a sacred temple. When we take care of our body, we are not only showing Heavenly Father our gratitude for our wonderful bodies, but we are showing respect to ourselves. When you take care of your body, you feel better. You have more energy, your mind is clear, and you feel happy and alive. I love eating healthy, exercising, and not putting harmful substances in my body. When I do this, I can accomplish so much! Show more Show less
