Hi I'm Kryssa

I was born in Hawaii and raised in Utah. I love to write stories and be with the people I love. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm a huge fan of exploring new things and trying to see things from a different point of view. Some of my hobbies include reading, writing, cooking, crochet, exercising, spending time with my family, learning more about my culture, and watching funny movies.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I have found out for myself that this church contains the fulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I prayed to know for myself if the Book of Mormon is true and if Joseph Smith really was a prophet of God. I received my answer that he was, and I can't deny that. And things have been going great ever since.

How I live my faith

Right now I'm trying to do the best I can to serve in my ward. I love teaching every now and then in the Primary, giving a scripture thought in Sunday School, and every now and then I try to be a pianist in Relief Society. Personally, though, I think the best way that I try to live my faith is just by being true to the things I know are right. I know I'm not perfect, and I'm grateful for the Savior's atonement that makes up for that.

Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?

Kryssa
We believe that everyone deserves a chance to get baptized and accept the gospel of Jesus Christ. There are so many people that have died without ever getting baptized by proper priesthood authority. It wouldn't be fair to deny those people salvation just because they never had that opportunity. By performing baptisms for the dead, we give people that opportunity to accept the gospel after they've passed away Show more Show less

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Kryssa
No, Mormons do not worship Joseph Smith. We only worship God the Father and Jesus Christ. But we do believe that Joseph Smith was called to be a prophet of the Lord, and that he did a lot to bring back the fullness of the gospel. Show more Show less
