Hi I'm Austin

I am a son, a brother, an uncle, and a golfing addict. I am serving in the Puerto Rico San Juan Mission. And i am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a huge golfer. I love being on the golf course. l wish that i lived somewhere warm that made it so i could golf year round. I am assigned to serve a mission in Puerto Rico and i am super excited about that. growing up i was raised in a horse/rodeo family, which landed me in the 4-H program. I was the only boy in my class which was very weird, however i did win in my age group. Once i got into the 8th grade i convinced my parents to let me focus on football and basketball. I love palying those sports, but my senior year i decided to play golf because i was a pretty small kid. But for some strange reason when i graduated, i hit a huge growth spurt and now i am 6 foot 4 inches tall. pretty useless height if you ask me.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family who are all members. I have been so blessed to have been raised in this gospel. I have always grown up being told that it was true, but i never really looked into knowing for myself until about a year ago. I read the Book of Mormon and really asked my father in heaven if these words were true and if this was his true and restored church upon the earth. I have felt the spirit and have noticed the blessings in my life from sincerely following his word. I think that even if you are a member that you have that moment in your life where you are converted and you have that truth testified to you. I love to hear about new converts stories and there testimonies, and cannot wait to help others to know the truth and bring them unto Christ and return to their Father in heaven. I hope to continue to invite others to come unto christ even after i return home from my mission. I can't begin to describe how much the gospel has done for me and the love I feel from my savior. I truely know that this is his gospel and he wants everyone to return to him again.

How I live my faith

I recently got my mission call to serve as a missionary in the Puerto Rico San Juan Mission. I report to the Dominican Republic Missionary Training Center on June 6, 2013. And I am preparing to enter the temple really soon. I have a group of about 15 friends who all are preparing to serve or are currently serving full time missions. I love having the friends that I do, and the influence they have on me.
