Hi I'm Ken

I grew up in Salt Lake City. After graduating from the U of U I took a job Phoenix Arizona. I 'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college graduate, spent fifteen years in the retail oil business, Iowned several full and self service service stations, and have spent most of my business career in marketing and management. I love small business. I am now retired. The best parts of being retired are the naps and taking a vacation whenever I get the urge. Although I was baptized at age ten, I was somewhat inactive during my teens and early twenties. My first wife has passed away, leaving me a widower with four of our six children still at home. I thank her for inviting me to take her to the Temple. This happened in 1962 when I was twenty three. Life has its ups and downs, and I have had my share. Along the way I gained two more children, two divorces, and the sweetest girl came into my life. We have spent the past twenty three years together. Through the trying times, my testimony of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ was my saving grace. Senses then I have served in many positions that have been faith promoting, and having these experiences with members and non members alike has been the greatest experiences of my life. How grateful I am for the LDS Church and my Savior and Redeemer Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

.I am a Mormon because living and actively participating in the gospel of Jesus Christ restored by the Prophet Joseph Smith has allowed me to serve others in ways that can't be experienced any other way. My testimony has been built on experiences that I can't deny. As I have discussed and taught as a missionary with members of other faiths, I realize that the LDS Church is the only one that I have found that asks the listener to ask God if what has been taught is true. I have read the Book of Mormon many times and have had it confirmed to me that it is true. I have read both the Old and New Testaments and know that they contain many truths. I am grateful for the recorded words of Christ’s chosen disciples in the Bible and Book of Mormon for the foundation upon which I have built my own witness of these truths to go hand in hand with the spiritual experiences that have been mine as I have had the opportunity to deal with my Father in Heavens children

How I live my faith

During the fifty some odd years of my activity in the Church I have been an instructor to the young men, instructed youth and adult Sunday School classes, Served as an Elders Quorum President, High Priest Group Leader, as stake missionary while in Phoenix Az., a Guest Service Mission on Temple Square and the Conference Center in Salt Lake, and served in two bishoprics. Most recently released from the bishopric to serve in the Mississippi Jackson mission for twenty three months. I have also served as a board member and President of my resident Home Owners Association. I have just completed serving for the past two years as the President of the Utah Manufactured Homeowners Action Group. It is the only organization that speaks for manufactured/mobile home owners in the State of Utah. This has given me the opportunity to work with local leaders as well as several State Senators and Representatives.
