Hi I'm Johanna

I grew up in Wisconsin. I'm serving a mission in Lousiana. I love fuzzy socks and hot chocolate. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I'm a college student and I am two semesters away from a teaching degree. I love working with teenagers and trying to make a difference in their lives. My other interests include music and dance. I love a good dance party and I enjoy listening to all types of music, with my favorites ranging from Classical to Classic Rock.

Why I am a Mormon

I have chosen to follow the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I know that they are true. Through studying the scriptures and praying and asking God to help me find the truth, I have come to know that this is the Lord's true church on the earth today. I have found a kind of happiness and joy that doesn't come from anything that the world has to offer. I love this gospel, I love the support that it's given me during the hard times in my life, and I love the direction and purpose that it offers. My life would be very empty without it.

How I live my faith

I have recently made a decision to leave family, friends, and school for eighteen months in order to serve as a missionary. While at first, this seemed like a daunting challenge, I realized how much joy my faith brings me, and i wanted other people to have this joy in their lives as well.

What is the Relief Society?

The Relief Society is a divinely-inspired women's organization that works to reach out to women everywhere and help them reach their potential as Daughters of God. Through special Sunday School lessons, monthly activities, and a home visit program, the Relief Society builds a sense of love, support, compassion, and charity among its members. It is a wonderful organization that has brought my family and I much comfort throughout my life. Show more Show less
