Hi I'm Kirsten

I grew up in Utah. I work with adults with special needs and foster children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the youngest in my family of 9. I love the members of my family with all my heart, and I especially adore my nieces and nephews. I'm studying art at a university and preparing to serve a mission for the LDS church in Spain. I love to read (novels, poetry, nonfiction, etc.). I've always been a bookworm and would rather fill my shelves with second-hand books than fill my closet with cute clothes. I also love writing, drawing, and painting- particularly for my nieces and nephews, who overestimate my artistic abilities. I love hiking in the summer, spring and fall. Utah is full of beautiful trails, and I love to just drive up a canyon until I see a trail head I've never taken before, then to explore it with friends and a picnic lunch.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are both strong members of the gospel, and I was taught about the principles of the gospel all my life. The church has always been a source of comfort to me. I've never wondered where I came from, or worried about whether there was a life after this- the gospel of Christ has all these answers and more. I know that Christ lives still, and that He atoned for our sins so that we can repent and grow to be more like Him. Knowing that Christ suffered for me makes me determined to live to my full potential. I know I can never repay Him for all that He's done, but by living righteously, I can show Him that I am indeed grateful.

How I live my faith

I visit three members of the ward each month with my friend. We usually share a spiritual message, but most of all we enjoy getting to know the girls we visit and their needs. I also choose hymns for the congregation to sing each Sunday and lead the music during the meeting.
