Hi I'm Dylan

I'm totally a Mormon. I like to try new things and be active. I'm serving in Kenya on Mission, and surfing is the way.

About Me

I'm currently a missionary in the Great Kenya Niarobi Mission, woohoo! I enjoy trying new things, I like to surf, sandboard, waterskee and just hang out on the beach. I like soccer and will play any sport that's out there given the chance. I enjoy a game of Xbox with my friends and like to be social. I really love to drive. I like music, pretty much any genre, it really just depends on the individual song. I have a family of four, my mother and father and a brother who is a year younger than me. I try to keep fit and exercise regularly. I love children and can't wait to get married and have a family when I return from my mission. I enjoy drawing and being creative and would like to study further when I return and possible enter the field of graphic design. Hmmm I'm not so sure what else. :)

Why I am a Mormon

My mother was born in the church and married my father who was not a member at the time, but from a young age she would always take my brother and I to attend church when possible. I was baptised at the age of 9 instead of 8 as my father had not yet become a member of the church and decided as I was going to be baptised to take more of an interest in the church and came to the decision that he wanted to become a member. I chose to wait until he was baptised so that I would be able to be baptised by him. I continued to attend church and try my gets to always attend even if I was attending as the only member of my family. I made friends in the gospel who kept me strong and made it easier for me to be in the world and not of it. I learnt of the truthfulness of the book of Mormon around the age of 15 when it started to become a more important part of my life as I read it and was able to recognise the blessings that came as I read it and that were no longer there if I forgot or thought I was "too busy". I finished high school just over a year ago and have been using this last year to work and prepare fr mission. It has been a year of lots of learning and gaining experience, and I would say we the hardest year of my life but also the year in which I grew most and strengthened my testimony of the gospel and of the love of our heavenly father and the saviour and their willingness to help and guide us in our lives. I know that this is the true church and that it was restored by a true prophet and is lead today by a true prophet that receives revelation for us all from the lord. I know that the book of Mormon is true and that reading it can bless and guide us in al aspects of our lives. I know that god and Jesus christ live and that the saviour has made it possible for us to repent of all we may have done wrong and become clean again, allowing us to live with the father again. I know that as we live righteously we will be blessed. I say this in the name of Jesus christ amen.

How I live my faith

I have been a member since i was 9 years old, I'm currently a missionary, I enjoy doing service whenever possible and most importantly i guess i just try my best to follow Jesus Christ in all ways, thats really the only way to do it. Here is a little scripture I enjoy "He that saith he abideth‍ in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked." 1 John 2:6
