Hi I'm Austin Allan

I grew up Los Angeles, California. Im a student at BYU-I and preparing to serve a mission in South Korea. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

There's almost nothing I love more than the outdoors, and any activity that you can do outside, I'm sure I've done it! I love backpacking through the mountains and camping on land that has been untouched by man. I enjoy film and photography. I have made some short films from various genres. My true passion arrives from being a reporter and news anchor at BYUI.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it is the single thing that gave me a feeling of wholeness and happiness. I used to live a lifestyle that wasn't in the church's standards. I was irresponsible with my life and made bad choices, to the point where I hit rock bottom in my freshman year of college. It was then that I realized I needed to turn away from these obstructions to my life and start making the good choices. I went to church and fell in love with the gospel and moved up to BYU-Idaho to pursue my first semester. It was a life changing experience and it caused me to feel something I've never felt before, true happiness and love. Soon I leave for my mission in Daejeon South Korea. It look lots of time and preparation to get to this point in my life, but it was more than worth it. I am excited to share with others what has made me so happy, this gospel. I know with the fullness of my heart that this church is true. I know that when I pray at night, I am speaking with a Heavenly Father who loves me dearly, as his own son. I know that Joseph Smith restored the fulfillment of God's work to this Earth, and that his work was inspired and directed through Heavenly Father. I love my Heavenly Father and feel his love constantly throughout the day, and I witness the blessings he has given to me. I encourage anyone to give this gospel a chance, read the Book of Mormon and discover it to be true for yourself. Get down on your knees and ask your Father above if the words in this book are true, and I promise you will receive the an answer. Heavenly Father loves you and wants you to return to him, and I cannot wait to be with him once more.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying my best to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. My current calling is being a missionary for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Daejeon, South Korea.
