Hi I'm Kawai Moa

I live in Hawaii. I'm a Future Missionary in April. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm originally from Magna, Utah but now live in Hawaii. I have 4 brothers and one is my twin. I'm the middle child and the only girl. I love singing and harmonizing while my brothers play the guitar and ukulele. I Love to help people feel good about themselves which is why I chose to enter the field of cosmetology. I like to see transformations with peoples' outer and inner appearances. A new hair do and a little makeup does wonders for our outer appearance and results as a self esteem booster for our inner appearance. Living righteously and how our savior Jesus Christ lives works visa versa. We are transformed on the inside and later show how happy we are on the outside. I love to help people feel their best and want them to live up to the potential God knows they can. This is why I decided to serve a mission. To help others I haven't met and help them to change on the inside so they are glowing on the outside and so they feel the happiest they could ever be. I have received my mission call and am assigned to serve in the Georgia Atlanta Mission in April of 2013.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because the gospel of Jesus Christ (the ordinances and principles he taught when he was on the Earth) has made me want to be better and do better for good. I have read the Book of Mormon (where we get our nickname) and it has transformed my life. It teaches me how to deal with life with God and my Savior on my side and that anything I go through I am not doing it alone. I've prayed if this book is true and I got my answer that it is. No other book has made me want to be better and do better through helping others and not thinking about myself. I learn to cultivate habits that make me get up and do something to help me draw closer to God or help others. I want others to see life in an Eternal perspective so they will make an earlier Heaven here on Earth. I love being Mormon!

How I live my faith

I live my faith through actions. I help people when they ask and even if they don't ask. If someone is new or visiting at church, I make it a point to help them feel welcomed. If a friend is in need of advice or even tough love I help them through their situations as best I know how. Even smiling is such a simple action but lets that person know that you are friendly, you are curdeous, you care enough to let them know you care about them because that smile could make their whole day. That is what the savior did and so much more. I choose to follow his example.
