Hi I'm Sam

I'm a student, a book worm, an employee, a dreamer, and a friend. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi. I'm Sam. And I'm a big fan of life. I kinda love it a lot. :) My favorite things include dandelions, hot cocoa, the color green, books, and classical music. I enjoy eating pastries, singing, taking walks, writing, and learning. I am currently a student at Brigham Young University studying Communication Disorders (AKA Speech Therapy/Audiology). I do my best every day to fill my days with the best things of life--though the big events alter and change our lives, it's the small moments every day that define us.

Why I am a Mormon

Simple: because it's true. There is no other explanation for my choice of faith and there's no way I can adequately describe exactly how I surely know that this is the Church of God. I simply know that it is. This is why each person must find out for him or herself that this is Church is true--because testimony and belief can only come through the confirmation of the Holy Ghost who manifests himself on an incredibly personal basis. But I can testify of what I know to be true. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior. I know that He knows me; I know that He loves me; I know that He died for me. His Atonement makes progression possible. Through its power, we can move forward boldly and confidently through life--mistakes and lost opportunities have no hold on us as we grasp the hand of Christ and follow in his footsteps. I know that this is the only way to obtain true, lasting peace and happiness. Life is tough but the gospel gives me the knowledge and strength to know that I can do hard things and that in the strength of the Lord, I can do ALL things.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following the example of my Savior. I follow His commandments and take the counsel of His prophets. Though I've never lived a perfect day, therein lies the beauty of the Atonement. I'm not perfect and God knows that I'm not perfect. Through His Son, Jesus Christ, and the sacrifice that was made for each of us, we can be made clean. The Atonement makes up for all our shortcomings which is why it is so important to me in my life. Because of the joy this gospel gives me, I desire to help bring people unto Christ. I want them to have the same happiness and knowledge that I have in my life. This is why I have accepted a call to serve as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, a calling that I am fulfilling now. I know what a difference this gospel can make in an individual's life because I've personally experienced it. How can I not share what I know!?
