Hi I'm Ryan

First, I'm a passionate life liver. Then I'm a low-key music producer, entrepreneur, road-tripper, Bolivian. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 22, and my biggest passions are the music, business, and the Gospel. I studied for one year at Berklee College of Music in Boston, where I saw studying Music Production and Engineering. From there I left for Santa Cruz, Bolivia, to serve the Lord and the Bolivian people for two years straight as a full-time missionary. You may know us missionaries more commonly as "those guys in white shirts and ties." I fell completely in love with the Bolivian people, and I feel now that, deep inside, I am Bolivian! It is hard for me to express what happened during those two years, what I saw and felt, and how I changed and grew spiritually. After my two years were up, I returned to the United States and am now at a school called Brigham Young University-Idaho in the tiny little city of Rexburg. Although I still deeply love music, I felt prompted to change my course of study to another passion of mine: business. I have been interested in business ever since high school, when a friend and I started our own little business venture installing Christmas lights, which continues to thrive to this day. I plan on never quite being able to tell you what I do for a living. I love to study the scriptures and learn by the Spirit. I love my Savior, Jesus Christ, and am grateful for His love for me. My biggest dream in live is to be a father and a husband.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, because the Gospel of Jesus Christ is true. I've found out for myself that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the restored Church of Jesus Christ, the very same church He established when He was on the Earth. I have studied it, read about it, prayed about it, and by doing those things, God promises that we may all know if it is true. I invite anyone and everyone who reads this to take this important matter up with the only One who cannot lie, God the Father. He answers prayers and never misleads us, for we are His children and He loves us.

How I live my faith

My weaknesses are more numerous than my strengths, but one thing that I have learned is that God can make us better than we could ever make ourselves alone. One way I strive to help others is by participating actively in my congregation, called a "ward" in LDS terminology. One thing I love about the Church is that everyone has a chance to serve others, and I too, am often the receiver of that service. I learned at some point during high school that serving others and blessing their lives fills my life with more meaning and joy. Christ really knew what He was saying when He commanded us to love one another. My faith underlines everything I do in my life. It is an indispensable majority of who I am. Now I repeat, I am further from perfection than most everyone I know, but it doesn't matter where you are in life, only what direction you are headed. I also strive to express my faith by trying to be more like Christ by thinking of others before myself, showing love and concern, giving of my time and talents, etc.
