Hi I'm Andres Aleson

I love my family. I love my friends. I love sports and music. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Peru. Its a great place to live in. Our home has always been full of music. I've always enjoyed going to the beach, watching movies and going on trips with my family. I loved highschool and my freshman year at BYU, and the amazing friendships I've made throughout my life. Three things I can't live without: my violin, a basketball and a soccer ball. I'm currently serving in the California San Diego Mission. I'm certain its the best decision I've made up to this point in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a member of the church. But because the majority of my extended family and most of my friends are not members of the LDS faith, I have learned to appreciate other religions as well. There's so much I've learned as a member of the church, such as knowing that families can live together forever, knowing that Christ himself is at the head of His restored church, knowing that our Heavenly Father is a loving and merciful God, or that Christ gave His life for all because of His infinite love. These truths have shaped my life and have guided every decision I've made. They have motivated me to have more hope, to be a better son and brother, to be a better friend, to enjoy life fully, and to keep God's commandments knowing that there is much more after this life. Being a member of this church has brought so much joy into my life that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend everyone to experience it for themselves. There is power that has been restored to this earth to seal things on earth and in heaven that allow us to be cleansed from sin, and to be sealed with our families for all eternities. This power is the Priesthood, and it is only found in this, the restored church of Jesus Christ. The Book of Mormon is true, as well as other scriptures, and they have provided me with an assurance of the Restoration, as well as the strength and comfort that I've needed as a teenager and while being on a mission.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is a daily aspect of my life. I'm currently living it by serving a full time mission in the California San Diego Mission. Besides that, I do it by simple things such as trying to be a good friend to others, by being serviceful, enjoying life, smiling, complimenting others, and striving my best to be honest and trustworthy. I seek to help my family and friends, and other people I might get in contact with in any way I can. I just try my best to follow our Savoir's example and enjoying small acts of kindness towards others.
