Hi I'm Sawyer Davis

I love my family, I love sports, cliff jumping, singing, the outdoors, books, and trampolines. I'm a Mormon and I love it!

About Me

I have done professional theatre for 13 years. I have 12 siblings, 8 of which are adopted. My family has lived all over the world. My favorite places have been Georgia and Idaho. I love acting, singing and dancing a lot, but football is my true love and passion. I love all sports; basketball, tennis, soccer, MMA, but none as much as football. I will love football FOREVER! I am a huge nerd. I love Star Wars, Star Trek (old and new), plus Avatar the Last Airbender and Phineas and Ferb are among my all time favorite TV shows. I love to read! I read books all the time. It is very rare to see me without a book in my hand. I am so nerdy I have to read out of a real book. I don't like to read off of tablets. Last but not least, I am a self-made poet. My English teacher my junior year taught me to love poetry. I don't usually understand what I'm writing, but I love it, and that is what matters. Right? I make absolutely no sense when you put my personality into words. I am a nerdy, book reading, poetry writing, gospel oriented jock who loves to sing, dance and act. :P More important to me than all of this though, is my family. My family and friends mean the world to me, and I am grateful to them for helping me become the man I am today. I love them all so much. And I do not, know how I could possibly live or exist without them. They, along with my Savior, Jesus Christ, are what helps me through hard times, the rough days, and the many pains that come with life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me happy. I can feel The Lord's presence and love in my life daily. Would that not make anyone happy? I am a Mormon, because I know that this is the true and restored gospel. I know that Joseph Smith really is a prophet of God. I know these things because I accepted the challenge Moroni gives us at the end of the Book of Mormon. I took the book of Mormon and I read it. I read it and then I prayed to God. I asked him if it was true. I got my answer. The Book of Mormon is true. I know it. I am a Mormon because when you know these things and you aren't following the gospel, and living the way our Father in Heaven would want you to, it just makes you sad and depressed. Wouldn't you rather be happy? I would, and so I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Well for starters, I am a lover of football. Even though I want to watch all the NFL games on Sunday, I get up off the couch and go to church anyways. It is one of the hardest things I do. The fact of the matter is, when I make that decision, a question always comes to mind. "Do I love God or football more?" The answer is always God. So I will do what he has commanded me too. I will go to church. Along with that, when I was a kid I slept, ate, and breathed with my Book of Mormon Stories by my side. I was constantly reading it. As I got older I saw my brother fall away from the church and choose not to serve a mission. It really made me stop and think about what I believed. I looked around and even attended other churches for a while, but something was always missing. My brother came back to the church and through his help, and the help of some of my dearest friends, along with tons of reading the scriptures, and pondering and praying about everything, I came to know that this church is true. That testimony continues to grow daily by sharing it with others and by trying my hardest to live the type of lifestyle my Heavenly Father and my brother Jesus Christ would want me to live. I am now currently serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I'll spend everyday for the next 2 years teaching others about the gospel.
