Hi I'm Jaylen

I grew up in a tiny farm town in southern Utah. I'm a journalism major and an avid reader. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small town in southern Utah where I learned to love the outdoors. I have a 15 year old brother and a 4 year old sister who I love so much. In high school I got involved in debate and public speaking and found that I absolutely loved doing it. I decided that I wanted to study broadcast journalism, and was accepted to BYU's journalism program this past semester. I'm so excited to start a journalism career and a family!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family so the church has always been a big part of my life. In high school I was only involved in the church because of my family. I always kind of felt that the church was true, but I never knew beyond that. Now that I have lived on my own, and had experiences away from my familyI have found for myself that the church undeniably true. I love this church and the testament it offers of our Savior Jesus Christ. I know that my Savior lives, that he loves me, and that he would have gone through the entire attonement process, if only just for me.

How I live my faith

I have been called to serve as a missionary in the Chile Santiago North mission. I feel so increadibly blessed to have the opportunity to serve as a representitive of Jesus Christ, and feel so lucky that my Father would allow me to be a part of his work.
