Hi I'm Kaelynn

I'm a college student, a seamstress, a secretary, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently attending college, working two jobs to pay for school and my mission by myself. I love rainy nights, sunflowers, early morning runs, cozy blankets, old things, and sleeping in. I enjoy singing, playing the violin and piano. I work two jobs--one as a front desk secretary, and the others as a seamstress for a necktie company and produce ties out of my college dorm.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family. It was my ancestors more than 3 generations behind me that joined the church. The LDS church is all I've ever known. However, even though I was born into the church, I still had to find my own testimony and be converted to the Lord's gospel. I have been involved in church activities and Seminary for my whole life. However, it wasn't until I was involved in a serious car accident the summer before my senior year that I really came to understand the grace and the mercy of Jesus Christ. I was driving home from school one day when a small elementary school aged boy stumbled into the street in front of my car. Those horribly unlucky circumstances were a real-life nightmare. Gratefully, the little boy only had minor injuries and recovered well. An accident is exactly what it was--an accident. I felt like no one could really understand the guilt and remorse I was putting on myself. But there is someone who knows! Jesus Christ took upon Himself ALL of the pains and the sorrows of every person that would ever live, even the pains of innocent victims. Although it was a difficult time in my life, I received a firsthand witness that I can never deny of the reality of our Savior, Jesus Christ and the love of our Father in Heaven.

How I live my faith

I have been called to serve in the Washington Tacoma mission. I'll live there for 18 months with other Sisters who have been called to the same mission. We will leave our families and the comforts of the lives we know behind to dedicate 100% of our time to the Lord--serving, helping, and healing the hearts of the people of Washington. We'll be sharing the message of the gospel to anyone and everyone who will listen and help them find the joy, peace, and comfort that is available to them through faith in our Savior, Jesus Christ.
