Hi I'm Stuart

I've created a number of businesses. I love sports, particularly golf. Wife and family are the essence of my life.

About Me

I'm a retired entrepreneur who loves sports, particularly golf. I enjoy traveling to warmer parts of the country in the winter with my wife and friends. We play golf, walk, watch movies and go out to dinner. We enjoy family vacations in the summer with our adult children and their families, especially at Jackson Lake, Wyoming. I try to be a well-rounded individual weaving family, recreation, business, church and service into my available time. I have lived in various parts of the U.S. during my life, including Boise, Reno, Denver, Florida and Salt Lake City. Every city has been wonderful and added to my personal experiences.

Why I am a Mormon

As I have studies my faith, I have come to believe that Christ's mission and atonement were intended for all of God's children. I believe that the church He established while on the earth fell away over time and has been reestablished today through living prophets. The primary restoration of that church and gospel came through Joseph Smith in 1820. Since his death in 1844, prophets have been directing the Lord's work through His established church upon the earth - The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Through this church all people are able to receive binding eternal ordinances that will allow couples to be married for not only time, but throughout eternity. The plan of happiness is outlined, and as I live it my life has been blessed and enriched.

How I live my faith

I have always been involved in my church. It offers me great comfort and satisfaction to have a belief in Jesus Christ. I have been a scoutmaster working with young developing boys and I've seen them develop leadership and service qualities through this program. I've had the opportunity to direct our congregation as a volunteer bishop. This experience allowed me to become involved in people's lives in a very personal way. I was able to see the inherent good that all people posses. I have developed a deep love for the Savior and feel His presence often in my life. This is certainly one of my most valuable possessions.
