Hi I'm Louise

I grew up in Copenhagen, Denmark, I'm now a student in America and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am raised in Copenhagen, Denmark in a little melting pot of nationalities. I love to learn, to travel and people - and I passionately try to combine the three! I moved to the US in 2014 to study international politics.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes sense and makes me so happy. It gives me direction, happiness and answers. I know God exists, that He is real and that He is our literal Father in heaven. Because He cares about us like a father would, He has shown us the way to live a life full of joy, fulfillment and purpose. These truths and this way of living were taught by Jesus Christ. Truth and direction is something we all seek. Finding and discovering truth is done by searching, researching, experimenting and trying. And then choosing to believe the answer we receive. Since it is a matter of faith, we will never be able to prove either or - but we will have to make the choice to believe. I believe God is the source of all truth. Only He can tell us if He is there, what He wants us to do - and I don't think there's anything He would rather want us to know. That's what I did and I chose to believe the answer I received. That is one of the best choices I have ever made! I believe that the fullness of these truths are taught and found in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. That's why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I try to live it every day and wherever I am - it is a fundamental part of who I am and influence all the decisions I make. I am pretty far from perfect and will continue to be so, but living my faith makes me want to improve and to be a better person. I decided to put my studies on hold for a while, to go to England as a missionary. Even though it probably seemed odd to some, I couldn't think of a better way to spend my time for 18 months. In England I shared what I believed and why it had been the source of some of the biggest joys in my life. It was a fantastic time.
