Hi I'm Ben

I enjoy singing, skiing and I want to be a radio producer. Oh, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a recent university graduate looking to work in the media industries. My main passions are radio and television, social media, driving, skiing and movies.

Why I am a Mormon

I think for any member born in the church, this question is different to those who joined later in life. My testimony of Jesus Christ and the principles of the Gospel has grown from being born into a loving family with good, strong beliefs and morals. I can recall many times I have felt the Spirit strongly in my life. Our obedience to the principles of the gospel gives great blessings. Some think that being born into the church means that you automatically have a testimony of the Gospel, which is not true. Just like any convert to the church, lifelong members also have to find their own testimonies of Jesus Christ. A few years ago I drifted away from the church slightly because of some personal issues. I don't think I ever lost my testimony of the Gospel though, it was just a bit battered. In the last year, I've come back to church and seen the blessings that the Gospel has brought back into my life and the progression that I've made.

How I live my faith

While I haven't served a full-time mission for the church, I hope to do so in the next year. I do my best to help the missionaries in our ward with the work they do, whether that be feeding them, teaching investigators with them, and helping with logistical things like giving their investigators lifts to church. I try to be a good influence amongst my friends and family and am usually the 'voice of reason' in a group, trying to keep everyone on the right path and doing good. I try and read my scriptures and pray at least once a day, as it helps me to keep perspective over what is important in my life.
