Hi I'm Charlene

I'm from the Philippines. I've been called to serve the Philippines Baguio Mission. I am a child of God. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am born in the covenant. I love to read, imagine, write, sing, watch movies, listen to music, take and edit pictures, and teach. I'm going to report at MTC Philippines on the 26th of April. I'm excited to go on my mission, I have wanted to go and thought, in some point, that I couldn't go. I'm so blessed, everybody is.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born at the time when my parents and brothers are already members. I have been exposed to the Gospel of Jesus Christ all my life. When I was a child, everything seemed naturally done for me. Going to church, hearing the gospel doctrines, partaking the sacrament, avoiding caffeinated drinks and smoking, also drinking liquors, having family home evenings, and many others. It was like a routine since I see my parents and brothers doing it. Being a member of the church is special but was not that special for me when I was really young. Then what made me stay? I have seen and known a lot of religions, but I have never found anything as beautiful, magnificent and powerful as the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Life is truly full of afflictions, and only the Gospel of Jesus Christ and following the commandments of God give true happiness in this life and that happiness will last forever. I know that the Lord loves each one of us. He has provided us ways to be happy because he wants us to be happy. I have felt that wonderful feeling of having the Gospel in my life. I will forever stay in the arms of the Lord.

How I live my faith

One of the wonderful things in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is that the Lord, Himself, makes sure that His children apply what He teaches. He has given opportunities to us to serve one another in the church that we may learn and develop in our lives the Christ like attributes It has always been a privilege for me to called to be an instrument of the Lord to bless His children. In my participation in His church, I was called to be a teacher in gospel classes, conductor when singing praises unto the Lord, and lead, a righteously as I can, some of His children. I believe that when we serve others we become an instrument as the Lord reaches out His loving hands to His children to bless them. As we serve we also let the Lord bless us. I know that each one of us is God's own child. The Lord gave us an opportunity to be like Him thru His Plan of Happiness. I believe that our happiness is His happiness. He wants us to be happy and He is always eager to bless us that is why He wants us to follow Him.
