Hi I'm Kerilyn

I have grown up in Utah. I am a Mormon. I know it, I live it, I love it.

About Me

I am a ballroom dancer of 3-4 years. I played the violin for 12 years and the piano a little bit. I am a Certified Nursing Assistant and I love helping people. I love being outdoors and being in nature. Photography is also a hobby of mine. I enjoy spending time with roommates and friends as well as my family. I enjoy laughing and talking with others. I love going on new adventures and exploring the world.

Why I am a Mormon

I've grown up in the church. When I was younger I wished I was a convert because they always had such a strong testimony and truly were converted in the ways of the Lord. However, I received my true conversion story. Even though I had already graduated from high school, my dear friend encouraged me, along with my mom and my leaders, to receive my Young Women's Medallion. It was a program that helped us young women set and achieve goals. All I really had left was to read the Book of Mormon. This friend of mine had already helped me to be reading the Book of Mormon every day and I was already in the book of Mosiah at this point. I found out I had until I was 19 to finish the rest of the value projects and the Book of Mormon, meaning I had about 4 months left to try to receive my medallion. I set the goal and I accepted the challenge and continued to read. However, as I read I realized I wasn't as passive about my reading. As the end of the Book of Mormon came, I knew it was true before I got to Moroni's challenge in Moroni 10:4-5. Which is to pray about these things and ask God if they are true. I felt the Spirit more and more and it bore testimony to me that this book IS the true word of God. Which meant that Joseph Smith was a true prophet, which meant that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true church of God and has been restored. This is why I am a Mormon. Because I know, I know this the true church. I am a Mormon. I know it. I live it. I love it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going to the temple every week. My callings in the church have been being a member in a presidency of your young womens classes and the Temple Coordinator for my Young Single Adults ward. I organize times to take people from our ward (area) to the temple to provide service in the temple. I am currently serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am excited to be teaching what we believe to those who do not have the gospel in their lives and watching them draw closer unto Chirst.
