Hi I'm Elder David Webb

My name is David. I am a guitarist, I am from Mesa, Az and am currently serving as a Missionary in the Washington Seattle Mission!

About Me

Hey everyone!! Im David! I love music and try to write my own as well. Ive had my struggles in life where at times I felt completely lost and without purpose. With an understanding of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the Atonement that whole that I didnt realize was there was completely filled and changed my very nature. I know God lives and I know He is very aware of me and my struggles because when I finally sincerely looked to him for help He strengthened me and walked me through the mess I had made in my life. The Gospel is real.

Why I am a Mormon

The Church was not always the important thing in my life. I walked a line that was not quite congruent with the Lord's standards. In doing this I made several mistakes in which made me feel I had lost all hope of ever being a valiant young man again. I am a Mormon because Heavenly Father has bore witness to me ,through the Holy Ghost, that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is His true gospel restored here on the earth by the Prophet Joseph Smith. The Book of Mormon invited a joy, relief, passion, and strength into my life that I could never replace. Since that change of heart started, the Lord has blessed me with experiences that have made my testimony stronger and blessed me with a knowledge and understanding of the Gospel that I could have never understood without Him. I know that any child of God that is looking for His true Gospel on earth, if that person prays to know if this Church is His true Church, and that The Book of Mormon is the word of God, that the answer will come. And it will be Yes. This Gospel is more beautiful then anything on earth and has made my life worth living. It has given me purpose. It has given me confidence. It has given me guidence. And it has helped me learn to know my Savior. And oh, how beautiful and precious He is to me. This Gospel is true. I know it. It has made my life. I love my Father in Heaven and Jesus Christ. They are precious to me. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by not fearing to stand out. "Its traveling the lines of least resistance that makes men and rivers crooked." Following the standards I do has never been easy. But it gives me an opportunity to excersize faith and prove to my Heavenly Father what kind of man I am. I live my faith by taking confidence in the fact that I am the son of a Father who rules the Heavens, and conduct myself accordingly to the very best of my ability. I know without a doubt that that is true.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Elder David Webb
We do not worship Joseph Smith but esteem him as a valiant man and a highly reguarded prophet, as we do all the prophets both now and in times of old. Keeping him in our memory helps remind us of the beautiful story of how we were all blessed to have this Gospel on the Earth once again. Show more Show less

Who was Joseph Smith?

Elder David Webb
Joseph Smith was another person searching for the true Gospel of Jesus Christ just as many are today. He prayed in the wilderness and was told that all the churchs were incorrect. The Lord, through Joseph Smith, restored his Gospel, pure and accurate, untainted by men, on this earth once again. Show more Show less

Why was a Restoration of the Gospel needed? Haven’t we always had the Bible?

Elder David Webb
After Christ was crucified, eventually all the Apostles and the Prophet, Peter, were killed and the Church of Jesus Christ of rejected. Because of this God removed His Priesthood power from the earth. Men then took and compiled the Bible and changed some of the plain doctrines that were in there according to their interpretation and some of the teachings of the Bible were lost. God knew this and prepared a record in the Americas that could restore those teachings. Because of all of this there was great religious confusion and people did not know where to go or look for Christ's Church. So many different churches interpretating the same book in such different ways made it impossible for him to choose. He prayed to Heavenly Father for guidance and he was answered that none of the churches at the time were the true church of God. Through Joseph Smith the Book of Mormon was interpreted, the doctrines restored along with the Priesthood and a Prophet was once again on the Earth. It was truely simple a restoration of Christ's Church that he had created on the earth long before. Show more Show less
